The name Carbon Credit is derived from the concept developed by the “United Nations Kyoto Protocol which is targeted at making easier access to renewable energy cheap and free for developing nations through the carbon credit mechanism.

Carbon credit is the generic term for any tradable certificate or permit representing the right to emit one tonne of carbon dioxide or the mass of another greenhouse gas with a carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2e) equivalent to one tonne of carbon dioxide.

CCN is an exclusive and private association. It is a network, movement or organization. It can be called a “club”. It admits members from all over the world. Membership is by invitation only. Membership in CCN can be compared to membership in an exclusive country club, or private organization for powerful and affluent like minded people. You can also fall under that category.
